GERMANY: President Frank-Walter Steinmeier receives newly-accredited Ambassadors

Four newly-accredited ambassadors today presented their Letters of Accreditation to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at Bellevue Castle, the seat of the presidency.

They are Ms Abir Ali, Ambassador of the Republic of Lebanon, Ambassador Ahmed Ebrahim A. Rahman Ahmed Alqarainees, of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Ambassador Vicente Albornoz of the Republic of Ecuador and Ambassador Ohene Adjei of the Republic of Ghana.

A military ceremony by a detachment of the German Armed Forces heralded the arrival of the ambassadors in front of Bellevue Castle, the seat of the German Presidency.

After the presentation of their credentials, President Steinmeier met the Ambassadors separately behind closed doors for discussions believed to centre on current international crises as well as global challenges such as climate change.
