Bazzar Berlin, from 8 to 12 November, perhaps, the most important international trade event on the calendar of Messe Berlin is back with a bang at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds.

Visitors to this magnificent fair will have a taste of interesting design, arts and crafts, natural goods as well as fairly traded and socially produced products.

Bazzar Berlin, the 61st in the series, will serve as a meeting point for potential trading partners, end-users, trade visitor and the general public.

At Bazzar Berlin, over 400 exhibitors from more than 56 countries will show-case their products.

The uniqueness of Bazzar Berlin is, as the organizers indicated, “shopping itself is a gift.”

Visitors at Bazzar Berlin show enormous interest in finding out about items for their loved ones and friends during the upcoming Christmas festivities.

Bazzar Berlin, a colourful market place, under the motto: “Shop like you’re on holiday”, is therefore the perfect place to find original handicrafts for all walks of life.

This unique handicrafts trade extravaganza is also very diverse – spread over five themed worlds, namely World Market, Art & Style, Natural Living, Fair & Social and Winter at Home.

As with previous fairs, African countries will be represented at this year’s fair.

Exhibitors from Tunisia, Kenya, Ghana, Namibia, Morocco, Madagascar, Egypt and Burkina Faso will be displaying their indigenous handicrafts at the fair.

Also expected from Africa include the following: South Africa, Algeria, Mali, Senegal and Tanzania.

The fair started as a development policy event under the name “Partner of Progress” in 1962 and has supported and promoted on regular basis, programmes for ethically correct, fair trade and sustainable production of goods.
