President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on today received four newly-appointed Ambassadors accredited to Federal Republic of Germany.
They are Ambassador Alexander Marschik of the Republic of Austria, Ambassador Muhammad Zulqar Nain of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Ambassador Majid Nili Ahmadabadi of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Ambassador Abassalah Youssouf of the Republic of Chad.
A military ceremony by a detachment of the German Armed Forces heralded the arrival of the ambassadors in front of Bellevue Palace.
After the presentation of their credentials, President Steinmeier met the Ambassadors separately behind closed doors for discussions believed to centre on current international crises as well as global challenges such as climate change.
