The Embassy of the Republic of Uganda in Berlin has been instrumental in orchestrating the country’s participation, working to forge stronger ties between Ugandan tourism stakeholders and the European market. Their presence underscores the strategic importance of the German and broader European travel sector to Uganda’s tourism economy.

“We are here to tell the world that Uganda is not just a destination; it is an experience,” remarked a representative from the Uganda Tourism Board at the stand. “The energy here in Berlin reflects the warmth you will feel when you visit our people, and the stunning visuals of our stand mirror the majestic landscapes of our country—from the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains to the sprawling savannahs and the source of the Nile.”

The showcase has successfully piqued the interest of key industry players. International buyers and partners have been flocking to the Uganda stand, engaging in discussions about tailored safaris, eco-tourism initiatives, and cultural tours. The synergy between the stunning biodiversity Uganda is famous for—including its mountain gorillas and the Big Five—and the demonstrated richness of its intangible cultural heritage is proving to be a compelling combination for travelers seeking authentic and transformative journeys.

As ITB Berlin 2026 continues, Uganda’s presence stands out as a highlight, reinforcing the nation’s reputation as one of Africa’s most distinctive and compelling travel destinations. With the strong diplomatic and promotional backing from its Berlin embassy, Uganda is not only showcasing its exceptional beauty but also building the partnerships necessary to welcome the world to its shores.
