He made these comments at the Palace of the Chief of Atebubu, Nana Owusu Akyeaw Brempong II, when he paid a courtesy call on the Atebubu Omanhene and the Atebubu Traditional Council in the Brong Ahafo Region on Saturday.

According to him, change will bring relief from the incompetence induced suffering after eight years of NDC mismanagement and hardships.

Addressing Nana Brempong II and his Council, Dr. Bawumia noted that he was there to seek the blessings and support of Nana, the Traditional Council and the people of Atebubu.

He said the John Mahama – NDC administration has demonstrated “considerable incompetence in the management of the affairs of the nation” and therefore needs to be voted out and replaced with a Nana Akufo-Addo-led government which will focus on creating jobs by transforming and growing key sectors of the economy.

“We want a Ghana we can all be proud of. For that to happen, we need to focus on key sectors like Agriculture and the NPP will revitalise the Agricultural sector and develop it to make it worthwhile. Secondly, we all know of the current unemployment situation. Many of our youths don’t have jobs and this is why we want to transform this economy to provide jobs and create wealth.

“Our message is, therefore, simple, the NDC has had eight years and all we have seen are hardships and mismanagement, that is why we are asking for a chance to change the current circumstances and bring real development and relief to the people of Ghana”, he said.

Nana Owusu Akyeaw Brempong II who warmly welcomed Dr. Bawumia, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Atebubu-Amantin constituency, Kofi Amoakohene and their team praised Dr. Bawumia for showing respect to the stool and the Traditional Council and wished him and the NPP well.

Dr. Bawumia later in the day joined Muslims in various Mosques in the Atebubu-Amantin and the Ejura-Sekyedumase Constituencies for Prayers.
