Martin Amidu, until today Interior Minister, will now be in charge of government prosecutions. Conspicuously absent from the list, said to be the first of a number of lists, is Alex Tettey-Enyo, current Education Minister.

Also moved is fellow embattled Minister Akua Sena Dansua, who leaves the hot seat of the Sports Ministry for the Tourism Ministry. Ominously, incumbent Minister Zita Okaikoi was not named in the 10 man list issued by the Presidency. Anlo MP Kofi Humado has been named new Sports Minister.

After being promoted to substantive Health Minister after the resignation of Dr Sipa Yankey, Dr Benjamin Kumbuor has now been moved to the Interior. Former Local Government Minister Joseph Yieleh Chireh now heads the Health Ministry, with Eastern Regional Minister and former NDC National Organiser Samuel Ofosu Ampofo promoted to Local Government Minister. Dr Kwesi Akyem Appia-Kubi has been nominated as new Eastern Region Minister.

Former Transport Minister Mike Hammah is now in charge of the Lands and Natural Resources ministry swapping places with Alhaji Collins Dauda.

The statement from the Presidency was signed by J K Bebaako-Mensah, Secretary to the President.
