An exhibition of colours, sounds and stories, Bazaar Berlin closed its doors today with most exhibitors expressing their strong desire to return next year.

Attended by around 500 exhibitors from 58 countries, Bazaar Berlin has since transformed itself into a ‘MUST VISIT’ for all connoisseurs of arts and culture during which the Gray month of November was transformed into a colourful atmosphere where visitors discover and purchase unique treasures from five continents of the globe.

Whether it is jungle pepper from Madagascar, natural cosmetics from Ghana, handmade ceramics from Estonia or a honey-sweet variety from Berlin and Brandenburg, Bazaar Berlin has, since its inception over six decades ago, become the Mecca of cultural artifacts, sounds and stories.

At Bazaar Berlin, items on display have each their unique stories to pass on to the 35,000 visitors who thronged the Berlin exhibition grounds under the famous Radio Tower.

The international trade fair for arts and crafts, design, natural products and fair trade as well as socially produced goods has, according to Messe Berlin, the organizers, drawn a positive conclusion after five days of the tour through the globe all at one place. Over 96 percent of visitors were satisfied with their visit.

“The Bazaar Berlin has long since become more than just a trade fair – it’s a place for discovery, experience, and togetherness. You could feel the joy, curiosity, and openness in the air in every hall,” says Annick Horter, project manager of the Bazaar Berlin.

“It was especially wonderful to see how many families visited the Bazaar Berlin together. That’s precisely our goal: a place where the whole world – and all generations – come together to marvel, try things out, and enjoy themselves. We’ll carry this energy with us into the next edition.”

With creative hands-on workshops for young and old, captivating dance groups from the Carnival of Cultures, and inspiring fashion shows, the Bazaar Berlin offered an even more diverse program for the whole family this year.

Bazaar Berlin is not short of surprises. One of the major highlights at this year’s fair was the creation of joint stands by a number of participating countries.

For example, Ghana was represented at Bazaar Berlin with a joint stand for the first time. The Ghanaian joint stand was initiated by the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA).

Roger Akalogere, one of the exhibitors at the GEPA stand draws a very positive conclusion: “This is our first time at Bazaar Berlin, together with the GEPA joint stand from Ghana. We brought and sold traditional baskets that my family and I made in Ghana. Our experience has been incredibly positive: We gained many new customers. Bazaar Berlin has given us the opportunity to expand our business internationally, for which I am very grateful.” He adds: “Many visitors are already asking if we will be back next year. We are definitely very keen to do so.”

For the second year running, Mama Afrika Spirit work presented gifts, jewellery, home accessories, and upcycled art from South Africa, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe in the Fair & Social themed area – and once again met with great customer interest. Founder Martina Zenker is thrilled: “We love the cosmopolitan, appreciative atmosphere. The visitors are friendly, generous, and very consciously supportive of our fair trade work. We’re already looking forward to next year.”

Maja Celine Collections from the Palais also returned. At the bazaar, they presented handmade statement earrings as well as scarves made of alpaca wool and silk. “After a successful first year, we came back this time – and we’ll definitely be back again next year,” says founder Maja Céline Probst. “What’s particularly wonderful about Bazaar Berlin is the personal contact: We can take our time, offer advice, and work together to find out what suits our customers. Many already knew us from last year and consciously chose to return because they value our consultations. This personal exchange is what makes Bazaar Berlin so special for us.

Hess Sound brings a true piece of Bazaar tradition to the table: The company has been a loyal exhibitor at Bazaar Berlin for a quarter of a century – and with great success: “The preparation with the team behind Bazaar Berlin was excellent. We’ve been coming to Bazaar Berlin for 25 years now – it’s practically a tradition. Over the years, we’ve been able to build a large community here. Bazaar Berlin is an important meeting place for us and, at the same time, a place where we consistently achieve good sales.”

The 64th edition of Bazaar Berlin is already being planned and will take place from November 4 to 8, 2026.
