The 63rd edition of Berlin’s famous pre-Christmas shopping extravaganza, Bazaar Berlin, will kick off from the 5th to 9th November, under the theme: The wide world as our guest.
Bazaar Berlin is a place of encounter and cultural exchange.
Messe Berlin, the main organizers of the event expects around 500 manufacturers and traders from over 60 countries from all continents of the world to present their unique goods and typical products at the Bazaar.
At what has been dubbed as “Germany’s most international trade fair,” Bazaar Berlin also serves as a “colourful marketplace” show-casing works of art, crafts, design, natural products as well as fair trade and socially produced handicrafts.
You don’t find exhibition grounds anywhere like at Bazaar Berlin, where the arena is transformed into a lively and sensual place where even shopping becomes a gift; with original items for peoples of all walks of life.
Visitors to this year’s Bazaar Berlin would discover the diversity and fascination of the Bazaar in its five themed worlds, namely, World Market, Art & Style, Natural Living, Fair & Social and Winter at Home.
The Bazaar also boasts loyal visitors who throng the exhibition grounds year after year sampling the beautifully-designed stands showcasing the diverse traditions and culture of the participating exhibitors.
Shopping at Bazaar Berlin is like travelling round the globe in one place. One could hear the rhythms of African drums, sample African food and drinks, Madagascan spices, Ghanaian handicrafts, Kenyan designers as well as Moroccan lifestyle.
A number of manufacturers and traders from African countries are expected at this year’s Bazaar Berlin. They include, Tunisia, Kenya, Mali, Ghana, Egypt, Morocco, Madagascar and Senegal.
Other manufacturers and traders at this year’s fair would come from Burkina Faso, Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, South Africa, Nigeria, Niger and Rwanda.
Among the items on the business calendar of Bazaar Berlin are workshops, fashion shows, all geared by the organizers at offering visitors a special trade fair experience.
At Bazaar Berlin, visitors will come face to face with unique handicrafts and typical products from different continents, making it one of the most innovative and culturally-oriented trade fair shows in the world.
The diversity of the African continent, will once again, be the highlight of the theme Living Africa where African goods are on display in Hall 11.2. of the Berlin exhibition grounds.
