Accreditation of Ambassadors to Germany

President Frank-Walter Steinmeier today received the newly-appointed Ambassadors accredited to Federal Republic of Germany.

They are Ambassador Gum Dominic Matlok of the Republic of South Sudan, Ambassador Mrs Reem Mohammed Khaled Al Khaled of the State of Kuwait, Ambassador Shail Rupakheti of Nepal, Ambassador Piet Heirbaut of the Kingdom of Belgium, and Ambassador Corinne Brunet of the Republic of Benin.

A military ceremony by a detachment of the German Armed Forces heralded the arrival of the ambassadors in front of Bellevue Palace.

After the presentation of their credentials, President Steinmeier met the Ambassadors separately behind closed doors for discussions believed to centre on current international crises as well as global challenges such as climate change.
