BERLIN, 24-26 May 2010 – Companies large and small from Europe, Asia and the US are quickly contracting for exhibit space in two new expo halls announced just four weeks ago by IFA, the international consumer electronics show that takes place 3-8 September in Berlin, Germany.

The “IFA iZone” is the first marketing platform for iPhone and iPad accessories in Europe and will stage products from the booming world of Macs, iPhones, Apps, networked devices and accessories.

The “IFA eLibrary” concentrates on all aspects of the new market for eBooks and tablet PCs, from vendors to content providers including the leading publishing houses with their libraries, wholesalers and retailers.

“IFA continues to evolve into the most important consumer electronics show on the globe, ideally located in Europe, the strongest consumer market,” said Jens Heithecker, executive director of IFA.

“The new segments are expected to be a traffic magnet for trade visitors, media and the general public, generating demand for the products on display. As IFA has the largest media attendance of all CE fairs worldwide – more than 6,500 journalists from 78 countries in 2009 – the global coverage will support sales everywhere,” said Heithecker.

“IFA has always been launch pad for innovations that inspire people and move markets – and it is the biggest sourcing event for buyers from all over the world.

“We are taking the concept of IFA further this year, extending beyond the integration of home appliances and consumer electronics that began with IFA 2008,” said Heithecker. “We are creating new ways to connect industry and public, exhibitors and consumers, on the one-of-a-kind global stage at IFA.”

Among the companies already contracted to exhibit in the new halls are: Aerielle Technologies. Artwizz, Bling My Thing, booq, Carl Zeiss, coresystems, falkemedia, iFrogz Europe, iSkin, Kaspersky Labs, Pioneer, Radio.fx, Scosche Industries, Soular, Tobit and Trexta.

What´s new at IFA 2010

Bling My Thing GmbH, Tobias Schramm, Managing Director: “iZone – the right place at the right time. Bling My Thing presents the latest accessories for the iPhone 4G.”

Carl Zeiss AG, Andreas Klavehn, Director Sales and Marketing of Multimedia Devices: “Carl Zeiss is presenting the new video glasses “cinemizer.” These are 3D glasses, which are controlled by iPhone or iPod. This can be used everywhere. The new concept of “IFA-iZone” fits very well with the positioning of the cinemizer, which appeals to the Apple-savvy audience.”

iSkin, Internet Marketing Coordinator, John Paul Camacho: “We are extremely excited to participate in IFA 2010 iZone. iSkin continues to recognize the tremendous opportunities in the European market and we are excited to extend our premium products to new outlets, as well as to solidify relationships with our trade partners!”
