IFA 2019: ZAZ – French Pop at the IFA-SOMMERGARTEN

Berlin, 19 February 2019 – It’s 2019 and ZAZ, one of the most famous and successful French nouvelle chanson singers, is back – back in the charts, back on tour and back in Berlin. In her luggage is her fourth studio album “Effet miror” (Spiegeleffekt), which was released last autumn and stormed to third place in the German album charts. Their current concerts in Germany sold accordingly well.

Due to the continuing high demand, these are now supplemented by further appearances: On September 8, the singer, who has already worked with Martin Scorsese and Charles Aznavour, will be on the radio tower instead of the Eiffel Tower. In one of Berlin’s most beautiful open-air venues, the IFA Summer Garden, ZAZ will present not only their classics but also their new album at this year’s IFA.

On “Effet miroir”, ZAZ combines elements of chanson with South American guitars, pop, salsa and rock. After completing three world tours within four years, she took a creative break. Not only did she produce the album Gipsy Traffic by guitarist Guillaume Juhel, she also started a socially engaged festival in Crussol, Ardèche (Southern France), started painting and even found time to travel outside of her concert tours. In October 2012, she played her debut single “Je veux” on the summit of Europe’s highest mountain, Mont Blanc, at 4810 metres.

Due to the continuing high demand, fans of ZAZ should plan their visit to the IFA Summer Garden early and secure their tickets in good time.
