GHANA: President Mills leaves for China ,Japan

President John Evans Atta Mills will today, September 18, 2010, leave Accra for an official visit to China and Japan.

As part of his itinerary in China, President Mills will hold talks with his Chinese counterpart, President Hu Jintao, and officials of the China Development Bank.

A statement signed by Koku Anyidoho, Head of Communications at the castle, and issued in Accra yesterday said, the President would also attend a business forum to be organised by the China Development Bank and visit Shanghai Construction Corporation.

President Mills, the statement said, will meet African Ambassadors and the Ghanaian community in China.

It said, the President would also hold talks with Prime Minister Naota Kan and Pay a courtesy call on his imperial Majesty Emperor Akihito, among others.

President Mills is expected back home on October 3, 2010.
