GHANA: Chief Justice Kwasi Anin-Yeboah runs amok

It is interesting, isn`t it that Chief Justice Kwasi Anin-Yeboah is now describing comments made by a former Attorney General as ‘disparaging comments’.

Having spewed out disparaging judgements himself, Justice Kwasi Anin-Yeboah is probably being hunted by his own conduct on the Bench.

Justice Anin-Yeboah has scandalised the Ghanaian Judiciary beyond repairs. He is now calling on the General Legal Council to investigate Dr Dominic Ayine, Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga East for expressing an opinion on Justice Anin-Yeboah’s conduct during the 2020 Presidential Election Petition.

Dr Ayine said on a panel discussion that the Supreme Court could have done better in the 2020 Presidential Election Petition and referred to the Supreme Court’s failure to apply the rules of procedure by repeatedly dismissing the petitioners’s applications or reliefs.

If Justice Anin-Yeboah thinks he is above the law in Ghana, he needs to be reminded that no one can silence any citizen of Ghana from expressing their views on any matter of public interest in the country. The people of Ghana have a right to speak on any issue including your unwarranted stupidity on the Bench. Justice Anin-Yeboah must learn to do justice to the office of Chief Justice.
