The conference, organized by the German Foreign Office and adelphi, a leading think tank on climate, environment and development, opens in the German capital today.
High ranking politicians, experts on climate security, environment and development, international organizations as well as agencies, came together at the premises of the German Foreign Ministry to brainstorm on interactions between climate and conflict.
Since its inception in 2019, the annual conference has transformed itself into a global forum connection governments, international organizations, experts and practitioners working to promote interlinkages between different approaches within the climate and security agenda.
This year’s conference, the seventh in the series, explored Climate, Conflict, and Cooperation in a Turbulent Era.
