Justice Kwasi Anin-Yeboah, the Chief Justice of Ghana

Our sources at Jubilee House tells us that Akufo-Addo was loosing patience with the Justices on the trial, in particular, that they are “giving more leeway” for the legal team of the petitioners to drag and engage the Court in what our sources describe as “unnecessary legal gymnastics”.

Jubilee House has we are told has instructed the Court not to allow the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs Jean Mensa to be cross-examined by the legal team of the petitioners.

In addition, our sources indicate that a line of communication exists between the Toase-born Justice Anin-Yeboah and the Jubilee House where, we are told, the Chief Justice is constantly reminded of his “obligation” to ensure there is no run-off of the Presidential election.

We are monitoring the situation. The nex few weeks are crucial in Ghana.
