Angola to be the Official Guest of Honour at ITB Berlin 2026

Angola, a country located in southwest Africa, and the world’s leading tourism trade fair announce an official collaboration for the 60th anniversary of ITB Berlin 2026.

An international stage for a hidden gem: The Ministry of Tourism of Angola and ITB Berlin today officially announced their close collaboration for 2026. The country in southwest Africa will be the Guest of Honour at ITB Berlin, which will celebrate its 60th anniversary from March 3 to 5, 2026, at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. During an official ceremony today, the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Angola and Messe Berlin, the organizer of ITB Berlin, signed the agreement governing their joint partnership. The signing was carried out by Márcio de Jesus Lopes Daniel, Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Angola, and Dirk Hoffmann, Managing Director of Messe Berlin.

“We are delighted that Angola will be the Official Guest Country of ITB Berlin 2026. This partnership offers us a unique opportunity to showcase the country’s diversity, culture, and natural beauty on one of the world’s most important platforms,” ​​emphasized Márcio de Jesus Lopes Daniel, Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Angola. “With our new brand identity, ‘Visit Angola – The Rhythm of Life,’ we want to demonstrate how vibrant, diverse, and authentic our tourism offerings are and invite the international travel industry to experience Angola’s rhythm with all their senses.”

As the official Guest of Honour, Angola will present a diverse program at ITB Berlin from March 3 to 5, 2026. The event kicks off with the Opening Gala on March 2 at CityCube Berlin, with which the southwest African country will officially open ITB Berlin.

ITB Berlin will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2026. Since its beginnings in 1966, it has developed into the world’s leading tourism trade fair.
