Speaking on Heroes Radio last Wednesday Mrs Oduro pointed out that so far six different figures have been given by various government officials including the Vice President, the Finance Minister, Minister for Energy and the Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority. The figures are so contradictory to the extent that Ghanaians are at a loss to determine the truthfulness or otherwise of the statements coming from these’ Honourable’ Ministers of state, she added.

Mrs Oduro stated that half way through its tenure of office, the Mills –Mahama administration continues to blame the NPP for its own failures and abysmal performance as a government. She said governments are elected to solve problems and not to bemoan or engage in a perpetual blame game adding that any government with a sense of direction and purpose would focus on meeting the needs and challenges of the populace.

According to the National Organiser, the habit of apportioning blame and looking for scapegoats indicates a lack of focus and inability to perform saying that the two years of the failed Mills-Mahama administration has left Ghanaians in no doubt that, the NPP is the only Party with the right policies to move Ghana forward.

Mrs Oduro expressed concern about the level of lawlessness in the country especially the activities of the so called foot soldiers who have become a law unto themselves with the active support and encouragement of the NDC leadership. She noted that the breakdown of law and order is not just a threat to our democracy but scares away potential investors arguing that Ghana can only attract investors where the rule of law and property rights are respected as obtained under the NPP government.

Mrs Oduro, who is also the Vice Chairperson of Ghana Union in Hamburg disclosed that hundreds of Ghanaians who intended to travel home for the Christmas could not do so because the Ghana Embassy in Berlin was unable to issue them with new passports as promised. She said nearly six months now most of the applicants are still waiting to get the new passports and described the situation as totally unacceptable and government must explain to Ghanaians why it is unable to provide its citizens with passports to travel.

The national organiser announced that the Third International Conference of the Party will take place in Hamburg-Germany from 9-12 June under the theme ‘RECAPTURE 2012’ with Nana Akuffo Addo , NPP flag Bearer, former President Kuffour, former German President Horst Köhler and Hon Jake Obetsebi Lamptey as special guests.
