The Minister made the call during a Ghana Day celebration as part of the World Travel Market Fair (WTM) in London.

The WTM Fair, which is the world’s leading Travel Trade Show, is an annual event, which takes place in the British Capital of London.

It is seen as the prime meeting place and also an excellent opportunity to meet business partners to do business.

As a global travel event, the world travel market aims to increase tourism trade deals, international networking with travel professionals, buyers and providing travel business intelligence.

She also called on investors interested in investing in the Ghanaian economy, to invest in the tourism sector, since it has enormous potentials to offer.

“The return on your investments is assured if you invest in the sector,” she added.

She said Ghana is participating in the Fair to showcase the rich cultural heritage and tradition to the outside world.

Mrs Ofosu-Adjare said among the delegation to the Fair people from both the private and public sector to network for the development of the country’s tourism industry.

She said last year, the Ministry organised the  Paragliding Festival of which  a number of pilots from outside took part, indicating that it was as a result of Ghana’s participation in the fair that they got to know of the festival.

In line with the Ministry’s mandate to develop and sustain tourism for national development, the Minister’s delegation included a cross section of the tourism trade associations and the creative arts practitioners with the view to showcase Ghana’s excellent diverse tourism and cultural heritage.
